Booking and
house terms.

How a booking works, how the table is charged, and the few rules of the room. In sentences, because that is how people read.

Bookings

  • A booking holds your table for fifteen minutes past the start time. After that it goes to whoever is waiting.
  • Ring us if you are running late and we will hold it longer where we can.
  • To cancel, ring or email. There is no charge for cancelling.
  • Walk-ins are always welcome. A booking only matters when the room is busy.

Paying for the table

  • The clock starts when you break, not when you walk in.
  • It stops when you rack your cue and tell the counter you are done.
  • You are charged to the quarter hour, rounded down.
  • You pay at the counter when you finish. Card and cash.
  • The rate covers the table, cues, a rest and spider, chalk and balls. A snooker glove is extra.

House rules

  • No alcohol on the premises. None is served and none comes in.
  • Under-16s play with an adult, who stays with them.
  • Damage to a cloth or a cue is charged. A drink on the rail is the usual cause, so keep drinks on the side tables.
  • Nothing goes on the table but the balls and the cue tip. No sitting on the cushions.
  • Chalk over the floor, not over the cloth.
  • Anyone spoiling the room for other players will be asked to finish up.

Hours, and the nights they change

We are open 1pm to 1am Sunday to Thursday and 1pm to 2am Friday and Saturday, with the last tables going out an hour before close. On a quiet night we may close early, and now and then the room is closed for a private hire. If you have a booking, it stands either way; if you are planning a late one, ring first.
