Which game?

What a table
costs.

By the hour, for the table — not per person. Split between four, an evening of pool is less than a round of drinks nobody is having.

Snooker
$18/hr
Pool
$18/hr

The price covers

  • The table, for the whole hour
  • Cues, including a rest and a spider
  • Chalk
  • Balls, and someone to set them up if you want

What costs extra, and when the clock starts

The row of suspended light rafts receding down the room above the tables, players small and far away at the end.

Twelve tables,
one lamp each.

Twelve tables: eight full-size snooker tables in the long room, four American pool tables on blue cloth beside it, and every one under its own raft of light.

Why people come back

Nothing flash or fancy, but has everything you need at a reasonable price

Three stars, and the best sentence anybody has written about this club. It is not trying to be anything it is not.

Amazing tables well brushed!! Highly recommend.

Ashish Bagai

Excellent equipment and extremely welcoming and humble curator.

Nauman Mirza

All of them, including the ones that sting

1pm until 1am. 2am Friday and Saturday.

Still open when
nothing else is.

Thirteen hours a day, every day. Unusual for anywhere in Adelaide’s north, and close to unheard-of for a room that serves no alcohol.

What the late hours are for

The week at a glance. Last tables go on an hour before close.

American pool balls scattered across green cloth in close focus, with the lounge's service counter and display cabinet out of focus beyond.

A counter,
not a bar.

No alcohol is served.

Independent reviews agree on it across six years. It keeps the room easy for families, open to anybody who does not drink, and free of the thing that closes pool halls at midnight.

Tea, coffee, something cold and something hot from the counter at the back, brought to the table or eaten at the bench.

Why that is the good version

Never played

Take a pool table first.

Balls go in, which is what makes a first hour fun. Snooker is the one to graduate to.

What happens when you walk in

The clock

It starts when you break.

Not when you walk in. It is written down on the rates page, so nobody has to ask at the counter.

How the clock works

Coming as a group

Four to a pool table, two to snooker.

Work out what it comes to before anybody has to be the one who pays.

How many tables you need

Finding it.
